People ask the internet questions that they need fast answers for, so if your website makes them look extra hard for what they need—then they will go not stay for long. Your website should be able to tell a visitor who you are and what you offer within their first few seconds on your page. They should be able to form an opinion right off the bat — your first impression matters.

 

2. The website is not responsive to other platforms.

A responsive website is a thing now. It is not just a passing trend.

What does a responsive website mean? There are different devices wherein your target audience can view your website. You want to make sure that your page works for all these devices. Nowadays, people turn to their mobile phones for quick searches. So you need to make sure that your design is mobile-friendly.

3. Your website is slow.

Fonts play an important role in your website’s readability. You need to pick a font that best represents your client’s brand while still making sure that you consider user-experience. For example, your client wants to use a cursive font for their elegant jewellery eCommerce website.

You want to use this cursive font strategically and not for all the text on the page. Cursive fonts are nice to look at as headers, but they are hard to read on chunky walls of texts. You also need to make sure that your font size is readable on both desktop and mobile.

Anything that makes a user’s experience complicated should be avoided. If you think that having a new browser window open every time they click a link is a good idea, then you need to re-evaluate your life decisions.
